7. National Overseas Scholarship Scheme by the Indian Government
  • Amount -This Government of India Scholarship for higher studies abroad covers tuition fees and other educational expenses such as contingency allowance, maintenance, travel expenses, etc.
  • Requisites -

    The Scholarship is awarded to applicants who meet the following criteria:

    1. Belong to Scheduled Castes, DE notified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Laborers, and Traditional Artisans.

8. Orange Tulip Scholarship
  • Amount -The scholarship amount varies and can be a whole study fee, a 50% reduction in study fees, or only a 25% reduction. The scholarships may cover only living expenses or visa fees, etc. Students should check their university to find out more about the OTS in their University.

    Students applying for the Scholarship should be an Indian resident and have been admitted to a Dutch university or be in the process of enrollment in The Netherlands.

Implemented by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Scheme provides financial assistance to candidates pursuing Master level courses and Ph.D. in foreign universities in the field of Pure Sciences and Applied Sciences; Engineering and Management; Agricultural Science and Medicine; Commerce, Accounting & Finance; and Humanities, Social Science & Fine Arts. 3. Dr. Ambedkar Central Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Educational Loans for Overseas Studies for Other Backward Classes (O.B.C.s) and Economically Backward Classes (E.B.C.s)

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has implemented the Scheme. The Scheme offers interest subsidies to meritorious O.B.C. and E.B.C. students to pursue higher education abroad at the masters', M.Phils. And Ph.D. levels.

 

Eligibility Criteria: Students should have secured admission to a university abroad for post-graduate diplomas, Master, or M.Phils. And Ph.D. level courses.

The Scheme will be available to students only once at the Master's Level or while pursuing Ph.D.

The income ceiling for O.B.C. candidates should not exceed the current creamy layer criteria, and ₹2.5 lacks for E.B.C.s.
